Georgetown Softball!

Sorry for the major lack of postage.... My life has been softball, softball, softball and more softball.... We have been traveling along the east coast going to Pitt and South Florida in one weekend. This week we had our first home games. Eight games in five days. Unfortunately, we were suppose to play Northwestern who are ranked 10th on Thursday but it got canceled because of rain. We played Notre Dame and Seton Hall and tomorrow we are playing Longwood....

A side note is that my best friend Jenna Stark surprised me this weekend and came to visit. She also committed to Georgetown so she will be joining our team in two years! We are all really excited!

Snow Storm!!!!!

So I don't want to hear anything from you people who live in Chicago or Massachusetts because this is a lot of snow for DC.... anyways we had a huge snowstorm hit last night that included canceling class today which was awesome... I went for a morning coffee run and took some pictures.. yes i risked my life (because i fell almost 5 million times) for this blog! so i hope you enjoy the winter wonderland of beautiful Georgetown...

Georgetown Softball!

Well well well.. it's that time of the year again. The weather is warming up, the dirt is dry and soft, and the grass couldn't be greener... well not all of those things are true in DC but... it sure is softball season! The last two weeks we have been in Miami, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. We have not been winning as many games as we should be or would hope to but it is a process and we are just getting all the growing pains out of the way. I have had a good couple weekends. Last weekend I even hit my very first college home run! I have been starting pitching almost every other game which has been very exciting. SO I got hit with a foul ball on Thursday on my shin and it made a HUGE bump on my leg.. one of the worst ones I have had... little did I know that the next day a ground ball would find its way to the same spot on my shin and wreck havoc! Ya its really bad and pretty ugly!

So this is my shin after the first impact:



And this is my shin after the second (it has tape on it because it is suppose to slightly lift the skin to help drain the swelling)

Jenna's Visit!

So Jenna Stark my best friend who I abandoned in California when I left for Georgetown came to visit with her parents! She is looking at Georgetown to play softball and we will what she decides....So here are some pictures from her visit!

So the title kinda said everything..... Ya the snow actually stayed on the ground and was followed the next day by a mild ice storm.
