Gimme a Break, gimme a break, break me off a piece of that....

Okey dokey.. or as my mother says oldy foldy.

I am writing this blog in the house of one of my best friends Jenna Stark. And you know what that means..... Yes! I am in California again! I don't think you will be getting any crazy pictures this time but I am having a whirlwind of a time already! I left DC on Thursday the 18th. I had my last final that day that got over at 2:30 and then my flight left at 5. After a lot of stressing over whether I was going to make it, I was on a flight to my home! I stayed with the Stanley's my best friend's family and my second family for the first two days. We had a lot of fun that included Katie's mom's amazing Cobb salad and a Mission Viejo soccer game. Then Jenna picked me up on Saturday and we have been chillin ever since. We got massages and I got an amazing manicure and pedicure.... Next I am off to my brother's house in Tulare for Christmas and then to Shrewsbury for a second Christmas with my parents, Heath and Thais.......

So I survived my first semester of college and it has been ridiculous. I can't believe that it is over. It has been full of surprises, lessons, and excitement. My first few months of life on my own and there has been very few problems. I have fallen in love with my school and have met some pretty amazing people. I have enjoyed the company of some of my closest friends, the girls on my floor Village C 6Y. They have been tons of fun and a home away from home. I have also been blessed with an amazing support system through Chi Alpha. I have met some of my closest friends through this campus ministry. God has been amazing for providing me with brothers and sisters in Him with which I can share everything. And last but not least God has given me a team full of great girls who have welcomed me immediately into the Hoya softball family. I couldn't not be more grateful for them!

As this holiday season winds to a close I am thankful for all the blessings that 2008 has brought. I am still working on my New Year's resolution but I hope that in 2009 I will be blessed with many more people who will be there for me even through my struggles. I will be very busy next semester since it is softball season but will be making many memories. If you are ever in the DC area stop by Guy Mason field and watch us kick some Big East butt!!! Hoya Saxa!

Happy Holidays! I will see you in the new year!
